The Georgia Trauma Care Network Commission was established in 2007 to maintain, and administer a trauma center network, to coordinate the best use of existing trauma facilities and to direct patients to the best available facility for treatment of traumatic injury and participate in the accountability mechanism for the entire Georgia trauma system, primarily overseeing the flow of funds for system improvement.

This project required a new website with event scheduling and calendar features. We developed the website with WordPress and The Events Calendar plugin, which allows the organizers at GTC to easily create new events and publish it to their audience. We also took this opportunity to rework the information architecture from the top. We were migrating content from an ExpressionEngine site to WordPress, so there were EE channels that didn’t map directly to WP posts. We simplified the navigation and created new blog categories for the dynamic content. Any event related content was mapped to the Event Calendar. The static content was converted to WP pages.

The client has been happy with the results and we continue to help improve and maintain this website.
